This is a rare post for me as I don’t normally photograph weddings. Most of my business involves personal portraits… seniors, children, families, and professional headshots. Therefore, I limit the number of weddings I do so I can devote the necessary time to creatively and sensitively capture the passion, beauty, and magical moments of the event. You only get married once (hopefully) and there are no retakes!

So when my cousin Anna asked me to photograph her wedding, I was honored. I mean, I used to babysit her and change her diapers! This is my sweet, sweet cousin and I just couldn’t imagine not being the one to capture her special day. 🙂

Anna married her high school sweetheart, Patrick. I photographed both Patrick and Anna’s high school senior photos as well. They both are such kind individuals…a great match for each other!

They had an outdoor wedding at Patrick’s Grandpa’s estate. It was a beautiful, hot, sunny day. The reception was held at Marshall School followed by a fun dance. The day was completed with a beautiful pink sunset. We stepped outside to capture some more relaxed moments as the day faded to evening…

Please take a moment to let the page load, get a cup of coffee, and enjoy taking a peek into their special day. This could quite possibly be the longest blog post ever! 🙂

Patrick and Anna, words cannot describe how happy I am to have been able to capture your special day. It was truly an honor to document your love story.

High school sweethearts Anna and Patrick drove here from Wisconsin to get their engagement portraits taken. This is the second time I have photographed Anna & Patrick, although the first was separately when they were graduating from high school! That’s right, I photographed both of their Senior portraits a few years ago. You can imagine how honored I felt when they chose me to photograph their wedding and engagements!

The session started out cloudy with some sprinkles but we waited a minute and the sun decided to peek out. I like to think it was just for them. Such a sunny couple themselves, they surely deserved it. I don’t choose to photograph many weddings but I will be capturing their special day next summer and I can’t wait!

It was my honor to be able to photograph Judy & Alan’s wedding. I’ve never met a more deserving bride. I know they will have many, many years of happiness. The photos below are grouped by events of the wedding. Getting ready, Ceremony, and Reception. Then there are also some other fun shots as well. If you are close to Judy and Alan and weren’t able to make it to the wedding, I hope I can give you a glimpse of their wonderful day. For those who attended, I hope the photos will remind you of what a beautiful occasion it was. And for Judy & Alan, I hope these photos will hold memories that you will cherish forever.
