FAQ

Q: What is the best clothing to wear for my child's portrait?
A: I want you to wear whatever you LOVE! Stripes, polka dots, whatever! However, for a timeless look, solids are best. Denim overalls work great for boys. For girls, I have a variety of pettiskirts and props for a fun look.

Q: What is the best clothing to wear for my family or group portrait?
A: Please make sure the clothing colors coordinate. Also, please stay away from logos and lettering. If you have questions about what to wear, please contact me.

Q: How many outfit changes are allowed?
A: I do allow as many outfit changes as you would like, but please remember your child may not be up for all of them!

Q: Other chain studios make me feel rushed and uncomfortable. Will I feel the same way at your studio?
A: I only book 1-2 sessions per day, this allows time for me to connect with you and your child(ren). I allow up to 2 hours per session. There are no waiting lines and no feelings of being rushed.

Q: Do you retouch images?
A: Yes! I personally process and retouch each and every image. I present to you only the best from each session.

Q: How many proofs will I be presented with?
A: I usually present anywhere from 20-30 images from each session. Those images that do not meet my high expectations as well as those images with eyes closed, heads turned, and unpleasing expressions are permanently deleted.

Q: When is the session fee due?
A: Session fee is due immediately upon booking. Date will not be held until session fee is paid for.

Q: Is the session fee refundable?
A: Rescheduling a session is fine, just try and give at least 24-hours notice. If you need to cancel completely, you may do so 48-hours beforehand and you will be refunded 50% of your session fee. If it's less than 48-hours, it will not be refunded.

Q: What does the session fee cover?
A: The session fee covers the photographer's time spent preparing and consulting with the client as well as time spent photographing and retouching images. It also accommodates for photographer's talent. Finally, it includes access to a private, online gallery with retouched images from your session to choose from.

Q: How will I be able to view my proofs?
A:. Within 7 days of your session, I will upload your photos to an online, private viewing gallery.

Q: Do you sell the images digitally?
A: I prefer to sell finished artwork instead of digital files. I use the best professional labs in the country and you will be delighted with the color, quality, and professional look. This cannot be achieved at a chain store. However, there are times when the digital file is necessary (such as in business and headshot portraits). If you absolutely need the digital files, they are included in my top collection.
